Getting Into the Weeds

This Dharma Talk was given By Jay Rinsen Weik Sensei at the Buddhist Temple of Toledo. In this talk, Rinsen Sensei reads from Shitou's Song of the Grass Roof Hermitage and a poem by Sosan Zenji.  How is it that the hermit can live there comfortably and calmly, in a house covered with weeds?  How does one obtain true freedom?
