- Discussion regarding external Qantas A380 Second Officer external hires. A Qantas A380 SO earns more than a regional Qantas captain and has a fantastic roster. They get paid on the weight of the a/c.
- Emirates has just posted a record profit of Dh10.6 billion ($2.9 billion) this week, and now the Dubai-based carrier surprises again by paying its 50,000+ employees a six-month salary bonus to be with their May salary.
- Chinese carriers are not looking for South African pilots, not sure why/
- Riyadh Air has started recruiting engineers. Apparently, they’re offering them 3x of the current engineer’s salary
- The SACAA is about to shitcan the entire Remote Pilot Licence. Drone pilots will lose their RPAS Licences and be issued with a Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) on an annual basis
