  • America and China are finally sitting down to the negotiation table to talk about tariffs – but I actually don’t want a resolution on this to happen!
  • Limiting funding for gain-of-function research makes sense, but Trump’s executive order makes it pretty clear that the ultimate goal is ending such research altogether. This is a terrible plan.
  • The government has given Harvard University a list of demands it must comply with before it receives further federal money. Some of these I agree with, but some the government shouldn’t be allowed to dictate.
  • Trump and Zelensky have agreed on the rare earth minerals deal, so it’s time to help Ukraine end this endless war with Russia. Enough is enough.
  • Israel is tired of fruitless negotiation with Hamas for the return of the October 7th hostages, so they are ramping up to take back Gaza and the West Bank. Palestine clearly cannot govern itself.
  • Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced the Office of Palestinian Affairs is to be closed, and operations merged with the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem. It should never have opened to begin with!
  • Hilariously, the app developed by the Biden/ Harris administration to sneak illegal immigrants in the country is now being used to encourage them to willingly deport themselves.
  • The Pulitzer Prizes used to mean something, but the latest crop of left-wing extremists and antisemites mostly seem to mean that it’s time to either dramatically overhaul or just get rid of the governing body.
  • Republicans and Democrats alike agree that the education system in the United States is broken, but how do we fix it? Erika Donalds stopped by the studio to discuss closing the Department of Education, how that would impact special education programs, and how school choice could be the answer we’re looking for.
  • A mob of anti-Israel protesters at the University of Washington caused over a million dollars in property damages. They must be charged, jailed, and fully prosecuted!
  • In news that shocks no one who watched the SignalGate drama unfold, Mike Waltz has been removed as National Security Advisor. Of course, Trump is now nominating him as Ambassador to the UN, so he’s not exactly out of favor either.
  • Disastrous back-to-back press conferences from Biden and Harris prove what I’ve been saying all along: if the Dems had any sense of self- preservation, they’d be jumping through hoops to hide these clowns rather than parading them around.
  • A gang of teenage illegal immigrants, all with prior criminal records, attacked some NYPD officers who were trying to stop an assault. 2 days later, only 5 of the 11 were still in custody. I just don’t understand New York City.
  • The papal conclave ended with the surprise election of the first ever American Pope, Leo XIV, who is variously described as a probable centrist and as likely to continue in the fashion of Pope Francis.
  • A coffee shop on campus at Boise State University was forced to close for being supportive of law enforcement.
  • In a major blow to Google's dominance in the mobile app market, a federal judge has ordered the company to allow users to download and pay for apps outside of the Google Play Store. This landmark decision could have major implications for the future of the Android ecosystem.
  • The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is meant to promote government transparency by giving the public access to federal agency records. But, as showcased by the NIH “FOIA Lady” scandal, it is often intentionally circumvented.
  • The FDA is finally banning a red food dye that has been banned in cosmetics for 35 years and in Europe for 20 because of its unacceptable cancer risk – and they’re still taking their sweet time in implementing the policy.
  • Mary Elizabeth Jackson is an internationally bestselling author, podcaster, and advocate for special needs kids. Tune in to hear us chat about her work with Autism TN, learn about her podcasts Writers Corner Live and Cover to Cover, and hear her tips on how to write a successful book!
