We have all had a moment when we wanted to be the tip of the spear of poetic justice. When a pound of flesh seemed like the most just dessert. This is a natural reaction to being dishonored, taken advantage of and objectified but is it the way of Jesus? In the sermon on the Mount, Jesus challenges the desire for vigilante justice and paints a picture of how we can preserve our dignity through humility, service, and grace.
