Amanda Boyd- The Foster Care System

Amanda's story begins with experiencing firsthand a system that is broken and decided to work to fix it. She began working in the foster care field seven years ago to address problems she encountered with the system when she became a foster mother to a sibling group of three who she and her husband later adopted. Amanda has been fostering children of her own for 10 years. In her position as Executive Director of the Sanctuary Foster Care Services, she is responsible for the growth, development, and vision of The Sanctuary. She guides the organization forward and outward by capturing everyone’s unique talents and plugging them in where they best fit.
