In this edition of Breed Presents… The Podcast we’re talking to someone who it could easily be argued has had more influence on the cultural capital of London than any other individual in recent history – London’s Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries Justine Simons OBE. She was given that title by London Mayor Sadiq Khan in 2016, but she’d already been at the heart of support for the creative world under the previous two mayors, since 2002. Some of the projects she's overseen are: Trafalgar Square's Fourth Plinth, the 2012 Cultural Olympiad, founding the World Cities Culture Forum, establishing the London Borough of Culture and most recently developing the East Bank in Stratford.
