What's does Financial Freedom mean to you?

Doesn't "financial freedom" have a nice ring to it? What does it mean?

When I first started writing my financial blog, I thought that financial freedom meant financial independence.

I was wrong. In fact, financial freedom is an open-ended term that means something different to everyone.

It's a place where you as an individual no longer feel like you're controlled by money and you're free to express yourself fully.

This could mean earning a great salary. Or, it could mean saving up a large emergency fund. For others, it could mean full financial independence. But, what does it mean to you!?
