We are all having a collective experience right now. It may not be exactly the same for each of us, but is important that we are sharing in a what can be called a "collective trauma." Trauma deeply agitates our nervous system, which requires us to spend more time tending to our emotional state to stay regulated. Simultaneously the marketing for "transformation" "motivation" and to have some mega life change during quarantine is all over the place. This propaganda is dangerous. It can leave us feeling like we need to "do" instead of "be" during this difficult time. In this podcast, I discuss a trauma psychologist's perspective on this shared experience and offering suggestion to better cope with our emotions are we continue to ride the waves.
