Their Memory is a Blessing: Remembering Borderline with Michael Morisette

On Nov. 7, 2018, a gunman opened fire inside Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, killing 12 in the deadliest mass shooting in Ventura County history. Thousand Oaks Acorn reporter Dawn Megli has spent the past three years sharing the stories of Borderline's survivors, victims and the families left behind. In this episode, she sits down with Michael Morisette, whose youngest daughter, Kristina, was among those killed. The Simi resident, who has since dedicated his life to helping others get mental health services they need, shares his thoughts on love, loss and turning pain into purpose.
