We're wrapping up our Advent sermon series "Christmas Playlist," and over this series, we have been exploring four familiar Christmas songs, not to unpack the songs themselves, but to learn the biblical meaning and significance of each. This week and we're focusing on "O Come O Come Emmanuel."
We recognize that the word "Emmanuel" means God WITH us. When Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born as a baby in Bethlehem, God truly came as close to us as he ever has and ever could. That's significant, not only at Christmas, but for our entire lives, and we'll be exploring that together.
