My topic today is midlife weight gain. Why it happens. What we can do about it. 

Did you know the average woman gains 1 - 2 pounds per year between ages 40 - 59? That creeps up to a total of about 20-40 pounds in midlife. Ugh!!!

So many life changes are happening around this time: pregnancy weight gain, higher stress levels, sedentary jobs, low energy, and more. 

PLUS all kinds of hormonal changes are taking place in your body. Starting in your 30s, estrogen levels begin to drop and you start losing muscle mass, which causes extra weight to settle around the midsection. 

Although this all sounds inevitable, there are many ways that you can reverse this trend. Stay tuned and I’ll give you all the goods!

Host Bio:

Sarah Haas is a Women’s Weight Release Expert and Body Love Coach. Her passion is helping midlife women release weight, transform their health, and step into the badass, Boss Body life they deserve.

Her health journey began when her six-year-old son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She threw herself into studying and learning all about nutrition. And in the process, she made some big changes herself for her kids and family. 

In 2019 she was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer. She realized her life was centered on caring for everyone else (work, kids, family, etc.). Everyone except herself. She realized that stress, lack of self-care, and not listening to her body’s messages were literally making her sick.

Throughout her cancer treatments, she focused on her own self-care. And it paid off! Today she is completely cancer-free, and not only does she have her health and energy back, but she also has more strength, joy, and vitality than she ever imagined.
