Kelly Montross Bio:
Fitness has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up trying a wide variety of sports. Competitive cheerleading ended up being my passion, which I continued to pursue throughout high school. In college, I coached cheerleading and tumbling. For my personal fitness route, I took up running recreationally as well as taking advantage of the college fitness facilities. Unfortunately, after years of running incorrectly, I developed an issue with my IT band which led me to try different types of fitness. I tried a basic gym membership, Zumba, insanity, p90x, and yoga, and then I stumbled upon CrossFit and fell in love. So much so that I ended up co-owning a CrossFit gym and coaching for a few years.
While I was coaching I realized I had a passion for helping people reach their fitness goals. There's nothing more rewarding to me than to see someone accomplish something they never knew they had in them! I decided along the way that I wanted to pursue one-on-one training because I enjoy getting to know my clients on a more personal level. I realize that one thing that works for one person may not work for the next person. Therefore, I want each client to find a fitness routine they enjoy and a balanced nutrition plan that will help maintain a healthy lifestyle long term and not just temporarily.
