One of the reasons I didn’t express gratitude is because of the rules I assumed and adopted about the right and wrong way (perfectionism) to say thanks. I watched adults and peers deny thanks, defer it, deflect it and expect it. We will dig into these topics in this series but today we are talking about the rules that say there is a right time, a right way and by default the wrong way to express thanks.
