State And Lake CTA Station Getting $440 Million Overhaul With Glass Roof, Elevators To Red Line: Car lanes around the station have been reduced ahead of an eventual “long-term closure” of the Downtown station before it reopens in 2029, according to the city’s transportation department.
Grayland Metra Station Back Open After Years Of Construction: The Old Irving Park station features heated shelters, ADA compliant ramps and longer platforms. The entire project took four years and cost $39.5 million.
Archdiocese Lists Humboldt Park’s St. Mark Parish For Sale For $6.7 Million: The parish, which was closed in 2022 and served Latinos and Puerto Ricans in the area, was founded in 1894. Its oldest building is a greystone on Campbell.
Lincoln Yards’ Only Completed Building Is For Sale: The life sciences building on the southern section of the site was completed in 2023 but never found a tenant. A new developer is taking over the northern portion with plans to build a scaled-back residential project.
