Today we are talking about the POWER of a newsletter editorial calendar!

They make it easier to plan, keep you from feeling frozen at your keyboard, allow you to easily rotate personas and share with clients, and prevent you from sharing the "same ol' stuff" every season.

1. Pick a tool. I highly recommend Monday. I use it for ALL my blogging organizational needs (but a spreadsheet will work in a pinch) - https://try.monday.com/x775pf40k4i6

2. Add a spot or two on your list for each date you send out a newsletter.  Why only 1 or two links per newsletter? Check out this TedTalk.

3. Fill in those spots with either specific posts you want to share, or "ideas" or "topics" for that date, if you are not ready to get specific.

4. If you're using a topic only (or you change your mind), before you begin writing, finalize the specific article you will link to and check that you haven't included it in a newsletter already in the last 12 months.

5. Share with your clients, and notate any client commitments on your ed calendar.
