I will never forget going to a mom retreat at my church and the woman said INTENTIONAL parenting and I was confused. I mean wasn't I already being intentional daily? Then I realized I was not..

What type of relationship do you want?

Have you ever thought about the goals you want to set as a parent? Sometimes as an entrepreneur or career driven woman we have a clear vision of what we want to achieve but as a parent we do not have a clear vision. 

We want our kids to survive and we stay in that survival mode instead of intentional mode

Today we will share Intentionally building relationships with your kids during every age group.

Elementary

• Morning routine
• Bedtime routine
• Friday Fun Day (skip school if you can when little)
• Saturday Fun Day
• One on one time doing art and fun- seeing their expression through their eyes
• HUGS & Saying I love you when they walk through the door
• Play together
• Eat meals together
• Get them involved in making dinner, doing chores together...

Middle School

• One on one time at breakfast
• Understand and listen- don't give advice, just listen (unless they ask)
• Explain things to them before they happen, tell them what is ahead, it builds trust
• Trips
• Moments to find who they are, what are they good at?

High School

• Teach about boundaries
• Help build self confidence
• LISTEN- ask before you give advice
• Build Trust
• Read books
• % love languages - Teen version
• Devotionals
