Catholics: Praying To Statues-Why?

Kneeling in prayer belongs at the cross—not at objects shaped by human hands. When reverence shifts toward carved stone, we risk mimicking the very idol worship that scripture warns against. The Bible calls us to bow before the Lord our Maker (Psalm 95:6), not before painted rock that cannot speak, hear, or heal. It's not about disrespecting tradition—it’s about honoring truth. God’s love is too holy to be filtered through marble.
