Industrial designer Ti Chang had an idea. She wanted to change the way women experienced self-pleasure. In 2008, Ti took all of her savings and her idea of designer/wearable vibrators to China for production -- at that time the idea was called Incoqnito. While she was shopping her product around, she met entrepreneur Michael Topolovac who owned CRAVE and acquired Ti's company.
Since teaming up with CRAVE, Ti has designed a line of luxury sex toys for women. She is passionate about evolving the conversation around pleasure to being less of a stigma and using design as activism.
It was enlightening for us to speak with Ti about industrial design. There are not a lot of women in this field and we learned a lot about how male-dominated product design is -- including sex toys made for women.
We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did and please follow Ti here.
