Well, this wasn't the episode that we planned to put out for today, but due to unforseen circumstances (ie: normalized violence, mental health, and toxic masculinity), we threw out the bat signal and got together to rush this conversation while it was still fresh on our minds. There was reason to be excited about the 94th Academy Awards, and there were plenty of moments that brought us great joy. But unfortunately that all got overshadowed by Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on live tv, in front of millions, with no repercussions. And then he goes on to win the award for best actor to a standing ovation and a five plus minute speech that praised himself as being a vessel of love. This is our reaction.
