Why was it sin for David to take a census?

Our Chronological Bible reading plan for May 23, 2025 is 2 Samuel 24, 1 Chronicles 21-22 & Psalm 30. This could be considered a more advanced application Bible study because we don't just take the traditional view of scripture.  We go deeper to see what lessons are being revealed. We are building out faith on a sure foundation - the proper understanding of who God is, Who Jesus is, and who we are in relationship to Him.
