Today, we are going to discuss trends in business for the new normal and how we can prepare our businesses to thrive in the future!
The # 1 thing to remember is that remote working is going to stay with us as a trend long after Covid!
I personally am from a salon background so I could do my marketing from home, I could do my coaching training, I could even start doing some of my hair cutting and color training. I cannot phone in or Zoom in doing a haircut or putting color on someone. But it's clear that remote working is going to stay on trend for any business where it works for their business model.
And digitizing how we do business will continue to accelerate. This was recognized as a good idea in 2019. Before Covid, it was a good idea. The pandemic accelerated these changes and now, it's necessary to have an online store and generate revenues on line no matter what business model you have.
I compiled a list of ways that you can adjust your business in this new modern virtual world to continue to stay relevant. It doesn't matter type of business you have. You can do this and come up with something cool and unique in every business category there is.
Add a customer service chatbot to your website. This is so important because we need to get constant feedback and we need our clients to know that we're available. They want to give feedback, so give them the opportunity. If you have not already, you need to build an e-commerce platform for your products, even your services. Some of them can be offered virtually.
Building an e-commerce platform for your products is so important, so is expanding in-person payment options to include digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, all virtual wallets, no matter what your area of expertise or your business is.
Offer virtual services and create mobile friendly websites.
What used to be a good idea is now a necessity and it has to get done. If you haven't done it yet, move this to the top of your list, develop an app for your business, create a self-service account portal.
