Today, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Robert, a fifty-year-old out and proud gay man, who explains some of the trials he went through coming out in the 1980s. He’s currently married to his third spouse, a man who he loves and appreciates dearly. We also discuss why it was better to have married straight for his first trip down the aisle. Other topics we explore were labels, adoption rights, being a step-parent, self-harm, parents’ negative talk and how it has long-lasting effects, weight, and much more.
