For week 5 of the series titled, “Trust: When Things Are Not As They Seem”, Pastor Stephanie Red preaches to us from the book of Genesis (Genesis 37, 39-47). She highlights the life, faithfulness, and trust of Joseph during his 13 years of struggle. Join us this week to look even further into the topic of trust.
Theme Verse: Proverbs 3:5 (NASB)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.”
Things to consider as you listen:
Trust knows that God doesn’t perfect conditions to work triumphantly.
Trust produces evidence.
Just because it happened to you doesn’t mean God wasn’t with you.
God’s provision secures God’s promises.
Trust looks for God in the ordinary, underwhelming places.
The way we demonstrate trust is an opportunity to witness to God’s power at work.
Trust helps us remember who we’re called to be.
Trust remembers that God is the God of the turnaround story.
