December 2019 - Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Star Wars Episode I vs Episode II, Christmas Movies

Ben & Steve’s Video Store has opened for December! Join the two movie geeks in their store (probably the last on Planet Earth), as they talk (and sing) about lots of things, including:

• Reviews of the major home releases for December, including Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, the Arrow video reissue of ‘Exorcist III’ and Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw’
• This month’s Bargain Bin choice is Star Wars Episode I vs Episode II. Will ‘The Phantom Menace’ or ‘Attack of the Clones’ be consigned to our store’s bargain bin forever?
• As it’s December, we browse the Christmas movie section of our store, looking at some Christmas Classics, discuss if ‘Die Hard’ really is a Christmas film and also look at some pretty awful Christmas movies. Plus, Ben has a controversial opinion on the Muppets
• In the 80’s – we look at the top 10 best-selling videos in the USA for 1982
• VHS Memories – we look at when Widescreen videos made an appearance, and we all watched movies in their correct aspect ratios on televisions the size of postage stamps
• Keeping with the Star Wars theme (as there’s a new SW movie out this month, who knew?), the trailer of the month is the original teaser trailer for ‘The Phantom Menace’

As well as discussing the above, we also sing a lot, go off on some strange tangents and do bad impressions of George Lucas. We’ve got it all this month!
