Victoria Short is the author of Find Your Mini Pumpkin: Life Lessons to Live with Purpose. Her book gives you wisdom and wide-ranging advice she shared with her students over her long career as an educator. She says she taught thousands of students in her teaching career and mentored many young educators. Through the lens of literature and decades of classroom interaction, she developed a philosophy of looking at the world with a curious and discerning eye.

Victoria was named teacher of the year after serving seven years teaching in Louisiana as part of a nonprofit she joined called Teach for America, where they place teachers in areas suffering from chronic teacher shortages. In addition to her B.A. in English, she received her M.A. in education from Harvard University and served in the military as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Army. Victoria coined the phrase "find your mini pumpkin" to describe the thing, person, object, or idea that reminds you that life is beautiful and worth living while also encouraging a present mindset.
