39: "Chukat" - The Mystery of Obedience

Numbers 19:1–22:1

This portion begins with the red heifer—a ritual that cleanses the impure but renders the clean impure—a paradox that reminds us not all divine instruction is fully understood. Tragedy follows: Miriam dies, Moses strikes the rock in frustration, and Aaron passes away. *Chukat* confronts us with loss, consequence, and the high cost of leadership. Obedience to God's Word often transcends understanding, but its fruit is revealed in the journey.
