#61: Imago Dei Conclusion! "God Wants to Marry Us"

A unique opportunity to experience an Advent Retreat based on reflections shared by Saint John Paul ll.

Today is the Conclusion of our Advent Retreat! And we find something that may astonish us.  The journey of the human heart ends in a wedding! That was the whole reason that we were created!

We began this Retreat with the problem of sin in Episode  1: #51: Imago Dei, "The Enemy Is At Your Door". In Episode 2, we got in touch with our hearts, our inner person and moving beyond things of only relative importance and sought to examine ourselves under the aspects of absolute importance: #54: Imago Dei, "The inner life of 'Absolute importance'".
In Episode 3, we moved into the larger story of Absolute Importance: #55 Imago Dei, "The Solution for Evil, Sin and Death". In Episode 4 we got to the heart of the story that we find ourselves in: #56 Imago Dei, "What Is Love?"  Sharing Love in Truth and the Truth in Love. In Episode 5 we got into the nitty gritty practical side of love.  #58: Eros, Agape, Desire...and I experienced it all in second grade!

Along the way we rediscover "the image of God within" and answer the big questions that our whole culture and the world seem to be so confused about today. Who am I? What's my purpose? Why are we created male and female? How do I find happiness? How do I find love that satisfies?
