Become Who You Are in twelve simple steps. Rediscovering Abundance, meaning and purpose, in a world gone mad.

Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount, "You have heard it said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you: Whoever looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart" (Matt 5:27-28).

"Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves" (Step 4 of the twelve steps)

Jack shares sections of the book he is writing. Combining the practical proven twelve steps of A.A. with Saint John Paul ll's TOB. A one-two punch that if put into practice will make a dramatic, immediate and positive impact on your life.

1. Start each morning with prayer! Include the Lords Prayer and this meditation:
Meditation on the Lord's Prayer suggested in todays podcast: Our Daily Bread
(See Show Notes in Episode #33 for Meditation)

2. Take one day at a time. Give something up or take some action for just 24 hours and offer it for an intention that is on your heart. Every time you are tempted "open" your heart and the temptation itself to Jesus. You will discover the power in this simple offering and of uniting a little of your own suffering to His.

3. Having received the gift of grace, now BECOME a sincere gift to someone today! Go out of your way to be kind to your spouse, children, neighbor...make a call to someone who could use a connection. BE that connection.

4. Practice Lectio Divina: Simply start by reading the Gospel for the next day. Meditate on a word or phrase that strikes you. Pray. Listen. (Visit www.jp2renew.org under resources for more information. We recommend the "Magnificat" App or print subscription for daily Scripture and Meditations.
4a. Begin to read the Psalms and the Old Testament, looking for words or phrases that touch your heart.

5. Go to Confession and receive the Eucharist

6. Ask a friend or more to accompany you on this journey of desire and encounter!
