Today’s show has two guests, Project Coordinator Janell Henry and Director Daina Warren, both from the Urban Shaman Gallery here in Winnipeg. Urban Shaman is an indigenous artist-run centre and they have been leaders in showcasing and celebrating contemporary indigenous art since opening in 1996.

I sat down with Daina Warren and Janell Henry from Urban Shaman Gallery, to talk about revitalizing indigenous languages through art, connecting language back to culture, and Urban Shaman’s mission to continue supporting indigenous artists into the future.
