It’s pretty amazing when you think about it. NASA’s Webb Space Telescope has delivered the deepest and sharpest infrared image of the distant universe to date. Its ability to magnify distant galaxies inside an image the size of a grain of sand is at once spectacular and humbling. What is our place in the cosmos really that we should be so bold as to think we’re significant? Or that it was made exclusively for us?

Listen today as Pastor Tony explores the historical dichotomy that has always existed between our earthly perspective and the vastness of the cosmos. The writers of ancient scripture, as in the Psalms, speak with the same awe and wonder of the celestial bodies as we do from our 21st century technologically-advanced perspective. What other collection of atoms can say this? It’s what we do with this information that really counts and ultimately determines our significance.
