Remember that scene from the 1965 film, “The Sound of Music,” when Julie Andrews belts out “I have confidence in confidence alone…I have confidence in me!”? Where does your confidence lie today? Especially when our confidence in institutions today wanes.
As we celebrate our democracy this Fourth of July weekend, join us as Pastor Jim Meadows takes a look at society’s current conundrum: finding confidence amidst a pandemic, climate change, and political divisiveness. Listen and learn in whom we can place our hope and confidence to share with the next generation. There are so many in our society today on the grassroots level that are often overlooked. Although a part of the institutions that are struggling, these folks are making a difference and in that we can be confident!
