We’ve spent the season of Lent this year reflecting on Jesus’ activities the week before his death on the cross. Today we reflect on Sunday of that week. What exactly happened to Jesus on that day? Scripture relates it was the day of his resurrection, but the details are imprecise and conflicting across the four Gospels. And science doesn’t provide us with an explanation either. The Apostle Paul was actually the first apostle to write about it; however, he did not bear witness to the crucifixion or resurrection. So what exactly happened on that Easter Sunday, and what did his followers see?

Listen today as Pastor Tony takes a look at the mystery of Jesus’ resurrection and its impact on his followers then and for us today. Speculation runs the gamut. Was the resurrected Jesus merely an apparition? The gospel of John relates that two of his followers didn’t even recognize Jesus. If you don’t believe in a literal resurrection of Jesus’ body, can you still gather as a follower of Jesus today?

No matter what you believe about his resurrection, discover the impact of hope that Jesus’ story of rebirth represents and the difference it makes in people’s lives today, perhaps, even for you. What story of resurrection will you share with others to offer hope?
