The Bride of Christ is not a PERSON, it is a PEOPLE. It is a group of people called His CHURCH.  He's been heavily invested in this group for thousands of years. The Bride is supposed to BE READY.  This happens in three ways

1. HE makes her ready.  His love attention and selection changes everything
2. She makes HERSELF ready INDIVIDUALLY. This is the job of every saint. Every bride on an oar and every oar in the water. 
3. WE make OURSELF ready COLLECTIVELY.  
            There is no call to God that is not also a call to His people
                     When you are saved, you are saved into HIM and into HIS people
