How do you determine the market value of a home? Bay Area Real Estate Tips with Spencer Hsu, Realtor

I created a weekly FAQ series since I'm sure others may want to know the answers to questions I commonly get. I strongly believe that real estate is a mix of emotion and data which is why I made this specific video as to how I work with my clients to determine the market value of a home. This is 1 of 4 components of a home value but it gives you the data angle of my formula.

List price is a marketing tactic and is irrelevant whether you should feel you got a deal or not. Also be careful with trusting Redfin and Zillow estimates. They are a great general guide of trends but can be off by as much as 10% which is evident in this video using live examples.
