Manufacture of Sealed Maintenance Free batteries is not as easy as the manufacture of Flooded Electrolyte Vented type conventional lead acid batteries.
The battery may have been assembled with care as regards
- Uniformity of plate weights
- Proper pitch of assembly
- Uniform compression of separators
- Correct bus bar thickness & width
- etc. etc.,
