Shot Selection
• Difference between winning and losing games
• Shot Selection Scale

10 = no such thing
9 = Uncontested layup
8= Contested layup
7=Uncontested in-range jumper
6= Contested in-range jumper
5=50/50 or so so shot*** watch these in practice
3=3rd grade shot off balance/contested

If you want to win championship you need to ave or better in practice

Influence Shot Selection
• Reminders
• Can you turn one 5 into a 8 or 9
• Daily conversation ( Most important)
• Highlight and talk about the shots you want your team to get
• Phases like “Our shot”. Last one “we took” was
• Language is so important
• “Let’s get an easier shot” ( do not use better use easier_
• If you would not bet 20 bucks on it you should not take it
• “Glad that went in…Lets get an easier one next time”
• Shot selection is a lot like dating
