• Don’t know what / How to say it
• Nite Communication ( Why do we yell ball)

 The sweetest sound in any language is the sound of someone’s name
 You HAVE to USE BEFORE instruction ( 0r information)
 “John…make sure you box him out”
o Information
 Relevant and timely Information and reminders
 95 percent of all information
• Say what you are doing
• Say what they should be doing
 Reminders
• 2 reminders and 2 positives per minute
o Tone
 Sometimes it’s not what you say but how you say it
 Leadership isn’t yelling and telling
 Yelling after a play is wasted breadth
 Not what you say but how you say it
 Talk to them as if they were close friends
 Have teammates want to follow you into battle
 Clear Tone
o Eye Contact
 Basic form of respect
 Great coaches will demand it
 Builds Trust
 Head Nods ( Little Nod)
 Most 93 % communication is non verbal
 Coaches are always making perceptions
