Five way for you players to be motivated in the off-season
Any program to increase motivation will affect people in different ways.
Make this player driven as much as possible
Have a plan
a. Shooting
b. Team Building
c. Wins/ Losses
d. Set Goals for the summer
Dollar a Day Analogy
a. Summer. Beginning of June til the beginning of August
i. 70 days ( work out 5 days a week…50 days)
ii. Get a stack of 50 dollars and put in their dresser
By itself a dollar is not that much
But add them up with you and your teammates it is a lot
iii. End of each day where does that dollar go
To your investment pile
Thrown away ( give to your rivals booster club?)
iv. What is a workout? What counts as an investment?
What is your rally cry
a. What is your motivation for workin
b. Beat the Cardinals
c. Pictures of your opponents
d. Picture this…Hill analogy for Badger basketball

The social context off-season training may be more valuable than anything
