Women & Heart Health

Both men and women get heart disease, but women are more likely to die from it.  In fact, heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States. As American Heart Month continues, we turn our attention to women's heart health. 

Host, Jonathan Fialkow, M.D., welcomes Heather Johnson, M.D., a preventive cardiologist at the Christine E. Lynn Women's Health & Wellness Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, a part of Baptist Health.  They discuss the roles played by anatomy, hormones, inflammatory diseases and lifestyle factors on women's heart health at every stage of life.
