We'll also be sharing our thoughts on Movie 43, a film that, frankly, failed to impress us, and we'll discuss the charming animation, Lloyd of the Flies.

1. Z in "Antz" (1998) - This neurotic but relatable worker ant, voiced by Woody Allen, brings a lot of humor and existential dread to this animated adventure, offering a unique peek into the life of ants.
2. Archy in "Archie and the Raid" (1962) - Based on the play "The Revolt of the Insects," this old but gold animation features Archy, the poetic cockroach who provides a whimsical yet poignant view on the life and turmoil within the insect world.
3. Francis in "A Bug's Life" (1998) - Voiced by Denis Leary, Francis the ladybug hilariously challenges insect stereotypes and gender roles, bringing both laughs and depth to this vibrant Pixar film.
4. The Spider in "Charlotte's Web" (1973) - Charlotte, the wise and maternal figure of the barn, spins words into her web to save her friend, proving that spiders can be just as heroic as any other character.
5. Mothra in the Godzilla Series - This giant moth deity from the Godzilla series combines awe and mystique, bringing a supernatural element to the kaiju universe.

Main Feature: Movie 43 (2013) Moving on, let's talk about Movie 43. To be blunt, this was a miss for us. This anthology of short films tries to push the boundaries of taste and comedy, but ends up feeling more like a series of disjointed, often crass attempts at humor that rarely hit the mark. Despite a star-studded cast, the movie struggles to find a consistent tone or any genuine laughs, leaving us more bewildered than entertained.

Kids Feature: Lloyd of the Flies After that disappointment, let's cleanse our cinematic palette with Lloyd of the Flies. This charming animation brings the daily adventures of Lloyd, a housefly, and his quirky insect friends. Set inside a compost bin they call home, this show combines humour with sweet life lessons, making it a delightful watch for kids and a refreshing turn from our earlier feature.
