On August 13, 2016, someone shot into the Ugwuh family home, killing 9-year-old Jayden Ugwuh and his 8-year-old cousin Montell Ross. While the family still awaited justice, 16-year-old Jayson "JayJay" Ugwuh died from gunshots fired as he walked down the Kansas City streets. As the family struggled to cope with the tragedy, JayJay and Jayden's 21-year-old sister Tityana Coppage sought justice on her own terms.
