In 1995, the village of Bellaire, Ohio, canceled Halloween after the horrific murders of two of its citizens. On September 30, 17-year-old Nathan Brooks committed a gruesome murder that he attributed to his satanic beliefs. However, he later argued that mental illness caused his crime.
