I started using Roaccutane (acne treatment) during the fifth year of my medical school, and it ended up being seriously side effects intensive. Mental health problems were one of those side effects and the sudden death of my stepfather to cancer put me in a bad mental state where I couldn’t control my emotions and was having issues with my mental health. 

The transfer from fifth year to F1 was extra hard because I was so unprepared. I was on my own and I was paranoid about people dying around me and I ended up having anxiety. I had to change supervisor and the only person who kept me going was my second supervisor as she helped me get through that phase.
