In episode #15 of Drums and Rums, where the backbeats meet the spirits.
We're away from the drum shack as part of our Rummer Time series. It's was our first podcast recorded live outside out on the patio of the new Twisted Tuna in Jupiter, Florida
On this podcast our guest is Brad Brock, singer/songwriter and host of the “Jams and Cocktails” podcast.
Brad is a one man band where he plays an unique drum set with his feet rather than using a drum track for his shows. This setup provides a truly full band sound. Brad's sound and style has been described as a mix of Cat Stevens, Tom Petty and Jack Johnson.
You can catch his weekly live podcasts on Wednesday nights streamed on YouTube and Facebook where he interviews local musicians and they perform some of their original music. Big props to Brad for helping promote local music and helping keep the music scene in the south Florida area going.
I'd like to thank our the Twisted Tuna owners Kenny and Rachelle for letting us take over the patio, Stephanie our server and the entire staff.
Also thanks to fellow local musician Chris Springer, good friend to Brad and I as well as Johnny Ringo owner of Code Rum for sitting in on the podcast.
The opening track is "Unrequited" by Brad
