Where the backbeats meet the spirits.  During Colonial times, New England was a hotbed for rum, with almost 200 distilleries producing this spirit at its peak of popularity in the late 18th century. Today it's back and doing well and leading it is Andrew Cabot CEO/COO of Privateer Rum. His ancestor and namesake was a merchant, rum distiller, and successful American privateer during the American Revolution.
