Avenue Red Podcast #200.6 - Rai Scott

Avenue Red proudly welcomes the debut podcast episode from producer, DJ and label boss Rai Scott, who is based in the Scottish capital city of Edinburgh. Rai is one half of 2DeepSoul together with her partner in life and music, Brad Peterson - a fellow deep head and master craftsman who did Podcast number 021 for us 8 years ago! Together they run the excellent label Inner Shift Music.

As well as releasing on their own imprints the duo have their music unleashed across a fine array of respected underground labels including Ornate Music; Echocentric Records; Church; Minuendo Recordings; Andy Vaz's label, Yore Records; Altered Moods Recordings; and most recently Rai created the opening release of Avenue Red resident selector Caillou's new upcoming label, Chateau Chepère.

For her instalment of the BIG 200 Rai has created a CD-length vinyl mix of raw, soulful, jazzy, deep, groovy house music with some eclectic, eyebrow-raising twists at the finale. Here we have such a truly sublime, tasteful and classy selection mixed with a wonderfully organic touch. We expected nothing less.
