We welcome Lille-based Columbian-French selector extraordinaire Victor Mottez, who musically masquerades under the guise of Bogota Soundsystem. Here Victor takes us on a nostalgic trip through the Hacienda-era influences that are rife in his record box full of edgy new beat, acid house, new wave and more.

"I am Colombian-born, north of France raised, currently based in Lille, French Flanders capital. I play pretty much every style from ambient music to new beat via Italo/dub disco. I've got affection for a wide range of music. One adjective: esoteric selection.

Thanks again to Alec for giving me this opportunity to express myself on his channel. I wanted to build a multi-genre mix but with a real guideline, playing only 80's & 90's sounds. The result is a mix of breaks, slow trance, dub techno with a little touch of Balearic & house music.
