Avenue Red Podcast #170 - Tripdrop

This podcast comes from Tripdrop (real name Nikita Polyakov) an artist and DJ from the city of Rostov-on-Don in the south-west of Russia. This is the second DJ on the series from this city after MA.XIM (see: https://soundcloud.com/ma-xim-profile), who delivered a trio of excellent mixes (episodes 034, 034.1 and 034.2) for us almost 5 years ago, all having quite similar styles to what is on show here in episode 170.

Here Nikita has delivered an hour of deep, hypnotic, spaced-out tech house, minimal and breaks tracks laced with infectious, driving grooves. This is a real heads-down mix with a laser-focus on the subtle elements of his sound, the echoed, scattered sonic details and sweeping pads washing over relentless, sharp-edged electronic beats.

"I am a DJ and producer with a few releases on German and Italian labels. When I recorded this mix I tried to compile music that is purely deep and groovy. It includes minimal, tech house and breaks genres. When you listen to it, you can dive into yourself and miss the moment you start shaking your head or start dancing :)
