The Avenue Red Podcast presents Romanian selector O'laru, who hails from the large port city of Constanta on the Black Sea coast. George has a wicked collection of deep, melodic, minimal and atmospheric house records that are right in the Avenue Red groove. With an ultra smooth mixing style, he takes you on a trip here that would work just as well on the dancefloor as it would in your headphones or on your Hi-Fi.

"I started to listen to and collect electronic music since I was 13-14 years old. I'm digging for music almost each day, I think it has become like a way of life for me to look each day for new stuff that fascinates me. My sound is influenced by the sound of artists like Zip, Moodymann, Raresh and Matthew Herbert. I have some rare gigs yearly around the Black Sea coast, Bucharest and Cluj Napoca.

During the mix, I tried to create an atmosphere which represents me the most in terms of sound. The selection was made between some of my all time favourite tracks and some interesting ones which I found just recently. I hope you'll enjoy the journey!" George O'laru, November 2016
