Avenue Red Podcast #070.2 - Gusev

Gusev closes his Avenue Red account for #070 with an old mixtape of Jungle/Drum & Bass cuts from 1995-1998...

"Hello friends, this mix was recorded a couple of years ago and is created from classic jungle tracks from years 1995-1998. From my point of view it was the best era for jungle music. In Saint Petersburg, Russia where I grew up in the 90's, the jungle scene was very powerful, active and exciting. Back then, this buzz rubbed off onto me as I was listening to a lot of quality jungle music that has heavily influenced my musical tastes of today.

A lot of tracks are known to me since I recorded radio broadcasts on cassettes. I'm sad that this music is currently under-estimated, overlooked and largely forgotten. From my point of view jungle music is very unique, powerful and energetic. Hopefully you will like this music as much as I do. I'm curious for your feedback." Dmitry Gusev, August 2016
